Open Auditions
Have you ever wanted to crash a wedding – and get a standing ovation for it? Now’s your chance.
The Fremont Opera House is holding open auditions for “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding”, the wildly fun, fully immersive comedy that invites audiences to become actual guests at an outrageous Italian-American wedding. Performers won’t just be acting on stage – they’ll be interacting directly with the audience, improvising in character, and helping create one of the most unforgettable theatre experiences we’ve ever produced.

Date: July 22nd and 23rd

Location: Fremont Opera House
Ages: 17+
What to Expect:
Auditions will be casual and collaborative – no need to prepare a monologue or scene in advance. Instead, actors will participate in short improvised scenes designed to showcase natural comedic timing, character work, and the ability to interact with others in real time.
While not all roles require singing, BUT a few do. If you’d like to show off your vocal skills, you’re welcome to prepare a brief (1-minute) song of any wedding or reception-style song – just give it a comedic twist! Think fun, funny, and a little over-the-top.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong improv instincts (or the ability to fake it convincingly)
- Big personalities with comedic timing
- Comfort performing without a fourth wall – every actor will engage with the audience
- Ensemble players who thrive in high-energy, unscripted moments
About the Show:
Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding isn’t your average play – it’s an experience. From the moment guests arrive, they’re part of the story. The show begins with a wedding ceremony and continues into a full “reception” complete with dinner, dancing, and unexpected (but hilarious) family drama.
